       A new dimension in Makeup is the application of pearls on the face and Make up artist seem to have new preference for pearls, the pearl trend being added to Makeup gives elegant looks and makes you stand out from others at any event.

     All you need to achieve the elegant pearl looks are flat- backed pearls and a low active bond to place them on the face.

     The sticking of tiny white pearls to the face was earlier spotted on the runways and it’s now a trend in vogue.

     Your choice of pearl placement depends on the makeup artist who could choose to be really creative with its arrangement on the face or, just a simple look of elegance.

     Pearls are of different types:

The Natural Pearls they’re extremely rare. Historically, many were found in the Persian gulf, unfortunately today, most have already been harvested. You may be able to purchase small natural pearls but they’ll be costly.

Cultured Pearls they’re grown in pearl farms. The mollusks are raised until they’re old enough to accept the mother-of-pearl bead nucleus. Though a delicate surgical procedure, the technician implants the beads and then the mollusks are returned to the water and cared for while the pearl forms.

Saltwater Pearl they include the akoya cultured pearls grown in Japanese and Chinese waters. They rang in size from 2mm(tiny) to 10mm(rare) and are usually white or cream in colour and round in shape.

Fresh Water Pearls they’re grown in fresh Water lakes, rivers and ponds predominantly in China. They could be white or Pastel colours.

Imitation Pearl they are usually a coated glass bead most have a high luster seen on high quality cultured pearls.
